Who is Eligible for Military Benefits

Published: November 2, 2018

Veterans Day

"We remember those who were called upon to give all a person can give, and we remember those who were prepared to make that sacrifice if it were demanded of them in the line of duty, though it never was. Most of all, we remember the devotion and gallantry with which all of them ennobled their nation as they became champions of a noble cause." Ronald Reagan

As we come upon Veterans Day, Bateman Funeral Home is proud to serve our veterans. Those who have served in the military are entitled to basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony. This consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family, and the playing of Taps. The MFH ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces.
