Keri Rae Gregg

Keri Rae Gregg (Sturdevant) passed away January 21st after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 48 years old. Born on February 3rd, 1967 in Oak Harbor, Washington to Carolyn "Cookie" Howe (Sturdevant) and Dale Sturdevant. She will always be her parents little girl. Early in life, she met the man who would become her husband and partner in life. At 18, she married Wayne Gregg and for the next 30 years the two lived life to the fullest. They had two children, Jake and Jeni, to whom Keri did everything possible for. Her kids later gave her grandchildren which Keri again gave her all to. To Keri, family was life. Keri's full time and most rewarding job was a stay at home mom to her two children and for the last six years, the care taker for her grandchildren. She also was a cook at the old Muggsy's in Toledo, ran scales for Cedar Creek Quarries, and a care taker for her grandparents. She enjoyed many adventures with her family, but the small things are what she really loved. Crawdadding, camping and drives on old dirt roads were some of her favorites. It was always family that kept Keri driven. Keri was a great cook, an avid animal lover, especially to her late dog Frank, and enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers for her hummingbirds and feeding her squirrels. Keri had many friends to which she called family. She was loved by everyone. Keri was the rock of her family and she will be greatly missed. Her smile and contagious laugh will never be forgotten. And her love, strength, and willingness to never give up will continue to live on by all that were blessed to have known her. Keri is survived by her husband Wayne Gregg; mother Cookie (Chuck) Howe; stepfather Bill Bayn; son Jake (Kathy) Gregg; daughter Jeni Gregg; brother Bobby (Tonia) Sturdevant; sister Micki (Jason) Barnes; 3 grandchildren: Blake, Roxi and Bentley, and much more loving family. She was preceded in death by her father Dale Sturdevant and step mother Diane Sturdevant. As befitting a woman who loved a good party, there will be a Celebration of Life March 20th at 3:00 PM at the Olalla Golf Course and Café in Toledo, Oregon.
