Floyd Dale Ferguson, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 15th, 2018 in Corvallis at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born and graduated High School from Kaw City, Oklahoma. After school, Floyd enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea before moving to Toledo, Oregon in the 1956. Floyd had a successful career at Georgia Pacific for over 40 years and was an active volunteer for decades in Lincoln County, serving as a Toledo city councilor, board member of the Miss Lincoln County pageants, Mayor of Toledo, and more. Floyd took pleasure in spending time talking and visiting with his wife, family, and friends. He enjoyed country music concerts, attending South Beach Church, and spoiling his Grandchildren with trips to get ice cream and visits to the aquarium. Floyd and his best friend Bill Hayden could be seen just about any day of the week walking a mile at the Toledo High School track, followed by getting a one dollar cheeseburger from McDonalds. He was also an active member of The Elks Club, the VFW, and the NRA. Floyd was a God loving, hardworking man, always willing to help anyone who needed it and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11AM at South Beach Church (3335 S Coast Hwy, South Beach, OR 97366) followed by an interment service at Eureka Cemetery in Newport.
