Dorene F. Brack passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, July 18, 2021, at the age of 65. She was the second of 10 children born to Daniel and Dolores (Staniszewski) Heron in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There she attended St. Peter & Paul Catholic School and Church and graduated from Riverside High School in 1974. Dorene married Richard (Dick) Brack, the love of her life, on January 8, 1977 and soon after, moved to Oregon.
Dorene was the loving mother to Dick’s two children, Michael and Michelle and gave birth to a daughter, Cherie, in 1980 and a son, Dan, in 1985. Dorene was an avid member of the Columbia River Girl Scout Council while residing in Tigard, Oregon. She worked as an accountant for Stoel Rives LLP for over 30 years until she retired in 2021.
Dorene enjoyed camping and traveling across the United States visiting over 21 of the National Parks and Monuments in their Subaru pulling the “Tabby” trailer. Together, her and her husband, have logged over 100,000 miles! They built a home and retired in Yachats, Oregon where she enjoyed watching the waves as she walked the 804 trail. Dorene was also an active member of Scrappers Gone Coastal, where she crafted beautiful greeting cards.
Dorene is survived by her husband Richard (Dick) Brack; Sons, Michael and Dan; Daughters, Michelle and Cherie; Granddaughter, Sierra; Sisters, Donna, Dawn, and Dione; Brothers, Dean, Darryl, David, Duane, Donald, and Dale; and various nieces and nephews.

Dorene will be laid to rest at a private graveside service at Yachats Memorial Park followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony in Sisters, OR. A memorial fund has been established to accept donations which the family will use to renovate the historic cemetery and to donate to the Lincoln County Girl Scout Council.
