Phyllis Hoover was born on May 22, 1941 in Malin, Oregon to Arnold and Minnie. She graduated from Warden Washington High School. Phyllis became a business owner, owning and operating Chili Bowl Tavern from 1972 to 1975. Then she became the owner and operator of Hoovers Bar and Grill in South Beach, Oregon from 1978 to 2022. Phyllis was a member of the Newport Eagles, American Legion, and an avid bowler of the no name team. She always had a puzzle on the table, loved books and baking. Spending time with family was very important to Phyllis. On April 18, 2022 Phyllis passed away at 80 years old.
Phyllis is survived by her sister Roberta Owens, Neil and Debbie Paasch, Lorna and Doug Burke, Teresa and Judah Smith, and Marvin and Anna Selfridge. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Ninnie and son Arnold Eugene Paasch.
